James Massaro, DVM &  Janet Lipman, DVM

Dr. James Massaro and Dr. Janet Lipman together own the Village Veterinary Hospital and have each practiced small animal medicine and surgery for over 30 years. They very much enjoy living and practicing in the wonderful community of Medford, NJ, where they have raised their two sons. They both grew up in New York but attended different colleges; Dr. Massaro graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey and Dr. Lipman graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts. They met as classmates at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduated in 1986, and married each other that same year. As husband and wife, colleagues, and partners in practice, they share their passion for veterinary medicine. They are dedicated to providing the very best care to the pets that are entrusted to them and the personal attention that the families of their patients deserve. Outside of the office they enjoy hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with their sons, two dogs and three 'grand-kitties'.

Jennifer Pehrman, VMD

Dr. Jennifer Pehrman was born and raised in southern New Jersey. She graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1988. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1993. She joined Village Veterinary Hospital in 1999 and is especially interested in internal medicine, specifically endocrinology and dermatology. She enjoys developing lasting relationships with her clients and patients, and would like to be thought of as the "other family doctor". Dr. Pehrman is blessed by her three children and her husband and resides in Laurel Springs with the rest of her furred, finned, and scaled family. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, and serving in various church ministries.

He then completed a rigorous 1 year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. Dr. Andrew Massaro's special interests include ultrasound, dentistry, emergency medicine, and surgery. He especially enjoys being a part of the special relationship shared between pets and their families. In his spare time, Dr. Massaro enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his wife (who is also a vet!) and their three cats, Rudy, Trout, and Seabass.

Our Technicians: Miranda Wilson, Mindy Alameda, Samantha Gangel, and Katie Botto

Our veterinary technicians keep our hospital running smoohtly and do everything from helping in office hours to taking samples and running laboratory tests, dispensing medications, helping in surgery, and caring for our hospitalized patients. And that's just a few of their responsibilities! They all do their jobs with respect and compassion for both our patients and their owners. Mindy has been working at VVH for nearly 10 years, has 2 beautiful children and quite a large and varied menagerie of pets. She especially enjoys spending time with and training her miniature horses. Miranda has been with us for 4 years, graduated from Shawnee HS, has 2 cats and a dog, enjoys photography and writing, and hopes to one day be a published author. Katie is our surgery tech and also helps out during office visits. She has 2 cats of her own and outside of VVH she is studying to become a nurse in the human medical field. Sam, our newest member of the team, is a vet assistant and is taking courses to become a veterinary technician. She has a dog and a horse and loves the outdoors.
